About the Role
JO Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Thamesmead for an enthusiastic and organised Food Technology Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to support a vibrant Food Technology department and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
As the Food Technology Technician, you will:
• Prepare ingredients, materials and specialist equipment for practical lessons
• Support teaching staff during food preparation activities
• Maintain consistent hygiene and safety standards within the food rooms
• Clean, store and maintain equipment and resources
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
• Provide general administrative and practical support to the department
What We’re Looking For
• Experience as a technician or in a catering/food preparation environment (advantageous)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures
• A proactive, student-focused approach
• Ability to work as part of a friendly, collaborative team
Location & Environment
The school is located in the Thamesmead area and offers a modern, supportive working environment within a dedicated secondary setting.
