Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Flexible Supply)

About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to work in Special Educational Needs (SEN) provisions across Carmarthenshire. These are flexible, supply-based roles ideal for those looking to gain experience or maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in education.
You will be supporting children and young people with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them to access education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN/A LN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social needs
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Adapt to different school settings and student needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/A LN (preferred)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexibly across different settings
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (or willingness to register)
