Crynodeb
The post holder will be part of a team providing financial management advice and support for the Trust. This post will have responsibility for the provision of financial advice to managers within the Clinical and/or Corporate Directorate structure.
Take the lead in the preparation and presentation of budgets for a range of areas across the Directorate structure within the Trust. Assist in the overall calculation of budgets as part of the annual budget setting process and the production of the opening budgets.
• Maintenance of budget reports and budget details.
• Production of timely and accurate monthly budget reports and all other reports and information as required.
• Ensure budget reports accurately reflect expenditure position, including an assessment of creditors and phasing of budgets.
• Investigation and identification of the causes of budget variances.
• Provision of information and advice to budget holders.
• Effective and timely resolution of errors and issues to ensure budget reports are accurate at all times.

• Flexing of budgets to reflect activity as appropriate.
• Produce forecast information on a regular basis for a range of services to aid planning and budgetary control. These tasks involve the post holder routinely using the general ledger system and associated reporting tool and producing information on spreadsheets with written commentary to be used by budget holders.
• Work proactively with budget holders to ensure expenditure is always controlled and appropriate. Provision of support and advice to budget holders to ensure the most efficient and effective use of resource
• The post holder will lead on financial issues with relevant budget holders on a regular basis to ensure they have a full understanding of their budgets and current budget position. Maintain regular contact to ensure the Finance Directorate is aware of all current and impending issues within the relevant department.
