Job Overview
The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality Science teaching that engages and inspires pupils while raising attainment and supporting academic progress. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive learning environment, effectively manage behaviour, and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners. They will use assessment to monitor progress and inform planning, prepare pupils for examinations, and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to promote safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
What we’re Looking For:
We are looking for a qualified Science Teacher with QTS/QTLS who can deliver engaging lessons and raise pupil attainment.
The ideal candidate will have:
The successful candidate will have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs. They will use assessment effectively to monitor progress and prepare pupils for exams. We want a resilient team player who communicates well with staff, pupils, and parents. A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional development is essential.
This is based at Saffron Valley Collegiate East, Selsdon Park Rd, South Croydon CR2 8JQ. Please note that all SVC staff can be deployed across the collegiate to meet the needs of our pupils.
