Nursery Manager – Lead with Purpose, Inspire Excellence
Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to step into a senior leadership role?
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Nursery Manager to lead a well-established Early Years setting and champion excellence across education, care, safeguarding, and operational performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, values-driven leader who thrives in a child-centred environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for children, families, and staff.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will have full responsibility for the operational, educational, and commercial success of the nursery. You will lead and develop a team of Early Years professionals, creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
Working with autonomy and the support of an experienced leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-quality provision
Inspire, mentor, and develop staff through effective supervision, coaching, and performance management
Ensure curriculum planning and delivery are fully aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Foster a positive, inclusive culture that supports children’s wellbeing and staff engagement
Oversee recruitment, inductions, appraisals, and ongoing training and development plans
Monitor occupancy levels and contribute to budget management and resource planning
Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
Maintain full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, health & safety, and all statutory requirements
About You
You will be an inspiring and proactive leader with a genuine passion for Early Years education and care. You will bring:
A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable)
Previous leadership or management experience within an Early Years setting
Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding legislation, and health & safety standards
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A child-centred approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and best practice
Eligibility to work in the UK
What We Offer
32 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
Generous childcare discount for staff
Flexible working options to support work–life balance
Comprehensive wellbeing programme, including 24/7 virtual GP and mental health support
Healthcare cash plan covering dental, optical, and physiotherapy treatments
Discounts across retail, travel, and lifestyle services
Ongoing training, CPD, and structured career progression opportunities
Recognition and reward schemes celebrating individual and team achievements
Why Join Us?
We are committed to creating nurturing environments where children feel safe, valued, and inspired — supported by teams who feel the same. As Nursery Manager, you will be trusted, supported, and empowered to make a real difference. This is more than a management role; it is an opportunity to leave a lasting impact in Early Years education.
