Your new company
I am engaged on a project to recruit a dedicated Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a growing Tech For Good business fresh from the acquisition of a leading energy company and will be working to reduce carbon emissions internationally.

This role is based in their Horley offices very close to Gatwick airport and you are required to be in the office a
minimum of 1 day per week.

Your new role
You will be joining an experienced Data & Engineering team of 20+ split into 3 squads and will complete the dedicated PL/SQL team (3 people) taking ownership of developing core Oracle PL/SQL code, maintaining stored procedures and mixing support and development to ensure their internal applications work smoothly.

Success requires a proactive developer with strong analytical thinking, capable of solving complex operational challenges. You'll write clean and reliable code, contribute towards best practice across documentation, system design and internal tooling and will driving efficiency and automation throughout their data platforms.

You'll also be involved in regular learning activities, helping shape internal standards, and supporting the wider team through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

What you'll need to succeed
A strong background in Software/Database development is required, with 3+ years working with Oracle PL/SQL commercially.

Deep experience supporting and enhancing internal business-critical data systems, ideally working in the energy/utilities sector.

We would expect experience pushing good engineering practices, working Agile and supporting DevOps / CI/CD.

Strong communication and cognitive reasoning skills complete the list, and will be tested during the interview process.
