We're looking for an Engineer to join our Structures Team, where you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting highways projects across National Highways, TfL, and regional contracts. What will you be responsible for?
As an Engineer - Structures, you'll be working within the Design Team, supporting them in delivering highways structures maintenance and new-build schemes to meet client requirements within time and budget. Your day to day will include:
-Producing technical designs, drawings, and documentation using the latest software for bridge and highway structures projects
-Supporting the Lead Engineer in managing scheme delivery from feasibility through to construction inspection
-Undertaking site visits, structure inspections, and gathering essential project data
-Contributing to technical excellence and innovation, including value engineering solutions
-Mentoring and supporting the development of technicians and graduates within the team
What are we looking for?
This role of Engineer - Structures is great for you if:
-You hold a degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering and approaching or Chartered / incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (MICE/MIStructE or equivalent)
-You have demonstrable experience in the inspection, assessment, design, and construction of highway structures to UK standards
-You're proficient with relevant design software and have experience working with Eurocodes in the design of highway structures
-You hold a valid driving licence and are comfortable with occasional site visits
-You're a collaborative team player who enjoys building strong relationships and sharing knowledge with others
