Crynodeb
A full-time, fixed term (until June 2027) Community Engagement Project Worker within out Carmarthenshire Prevention Hub working across Llanelli, Ammanford and Gwendreath. You will be required to work Monday – Friday office hours although flexibility is required depending on the needs of the customer.
As of 1st April 2026, the FTE for this role is £28,882
About the role
You will play a key part in delivery of the preventative hubs in Llanelli, Amman and Gwendreath, these hubs provide preventative and solution-based community support to support customers to improve and/ or maintain their health, well-being and independence through social integration and strong community relationships.
As part of the lead team, you will deliver the single point of contact from which customers can access information, opportunities, and support is visible, accessible and available.
You will work closely with your team and partner organisations to deliver this service. You will, receive referrals, provide information, have wellbeing conversations with customers, deliver community engagement campaigns and develop community support networks.
Skills and Experience Needed
A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
Ability to build great rapport with customers
Ability to plan, deliver, review and monitor a holistic package of support
Ability to assess risk and propose risk management strategies
Hold a driving licence and have access to a car
