This role is open to all applicants. However, in line with Cornwall First Recruitment principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Post Holder will be a registered midwife with clinical expertise.
The post is a key role within the division working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the information recorded is accurate and used appropriately in accordance with the data protection policy, and for the purpose for which it is collected.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day system administration of the maternity information system(s) and its development, as required to fulfil the needs of the maternity service.
The post holder will be the expert for current/future RCHT maternity system and will use their knowledge and negotiating skills to help improve the service to support safer care.
They will help champion the use of maternity dataset to inform changes across the network and will work with key stakeholders to maximise its purpose.

To provide expert advice on the maternity digital information systems.
To lead on clinical issues arising from the maternity digital information systems
Liaise with other members of RCHT multi-disciplinary teams
Co-ordinate the workload of the digital teams at RCHT and national maternity digital networks
To support Midwives to enable them to fulfil their roles through support and learning for the maternity digital systems
To liaise and link with RCHT IT division, clinical coding, business intelligence , Child health and Neonatal unit.
