Founded in 1958, Abels removals is a removals firm based in Brandon, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Abels are proud members of BAR (British Association of Removers) and our house moving teams specialise both in moving antiques and specialist items such as pianos, grandfather clocks, fine art alongside day to day household items and furniture, always delivering the utmost care and attention, ensuring everything runs smoothly and guaranteeing our customer’s peace of mind.
We are now looking for experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Drivers (Class 2) to join our growing team based in Potters Bar.
Drivers (Class 2) will be responsible for safely transporting and handling customers’ household and personal possessions, delivering a high-quality, professional removals service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a high standard of driving including compliance with Traffic Regulations
• Maintain discipline and morale
• In charge of vehicle upon deployment
• Ensures all goods are clearly identified using the correct procedures
• Handle, lift, pack, load and unload furniture, household, office and commercial effects correctly, carefully professionally and following the correct procedures
• Ensure timesheets are produced regularly and accurately and that times worked comply with drivers hours
• Mentor Junior staff to enable development and progression on both sides
• Provide tachograph records on a regular, correct and fully completed basis.
Essential
• Full UK drivers licence (No more than 3 points)
• Valid Class 2 Licence
• CPC Qualification
• Proven HGV driving experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills
Desirable
• Previous removals experience
• Valid Passport (for potential European travel)
• Multilingual skills

• 47.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
