We are now looking for a dedicated and motivated Ophthalmic Technician (Bank) to join our expanding clinical team. This flexible bank role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering highquality patient care, thrives in a clinical setting, and enjoys working as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team. About the Role As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a key part in supporting our ophthalmology service by providing highquality diagnostic testing and patient care. Working closely with consultants, nurses, and administrative teams, you will help ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out ophthalmic diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, biometry, fundus photography, and visual acuity assessment. Preparing patients for clinical assessments and providing clear, compassionate explanations of diagnostic procedures. Ensuring equipment is maintained, cleaned, and calibrated according to clinical standards. Accurately documenting results and updating patient records and clinical systems. Supporting consultants and nursing staff during ophthalmic clinics. Upholding exceptional infection control standards and ensuring a safe, highquality clinical environment. Supporting administrative tasks as needed to maintain smooth clinic flow. About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in ophthalmic diagnostics. Confident using clinical equipment, IT systems, and electronic patient records. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Calm, reassuring, and able to put patients at ease during clinical procedures. A strong communicator with a compassionate, patientcentred approach.
