Crynodeb
I am an active young person, neurodiverse, who loves video games and also loves many genres of music. I have an amazing sense of humour and can be chatty and fun.
I have an interest in many subject areas but especially love languages: my most spoken and recognized languages: UK/US English, Spain/Latin America Spanish, Italian. Languages I understand a bit or am interested in: Chinese, Russian, Hungarian
I would like to benefit from social inclusion in the local community and to increase my independence by participating in evening activities during the week or at weekends. Your role will be to assist with this.
Health conditions: Epilepsy.
The main duties are: -
To support me on a one-to-one basis outside of the home.
To assist me with recreational activities.
To organise and participate in events, activities and experiences which involve me in the local community in a positive manner.
To transport me to and from my home and various locations as necessary. Mileage will be paid if using your own car.
To undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties as specified by myself, or my representatives.
The following are ESSENTIAL requirements for this post:
The ability to work on a one-to-one basis outside of the home.
The ability to work flexibly to ensure continuity of service.
The ability to empower me in reaching my full potential in all aspects of independent social activities
The ability to communicate effectively with me and to put me at the centre of all you do whilst supporting me.
The ability to take responsibility for my wellbeing and safety.
To understand and demonstrate a healthy and safe lifestyle and to take a positive and active role in activities such as going out and about in the evenings.
The ability to organise and participate in events, activities and experiences which involve me in the local community in a safe and positive manner.
To understand the importance of maintaining confidential information.
The ability to cope under pressure and in stressful situations whilst maintaining security and stability for me.
To be reliable, punctual, and honest.
To possess a full clean driving licence and be able to drive a car for use in taking me between my home and various other locations.
To always demonstrate respect and dignity
The ability to always maintain the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the performance of your duties.
Previous experience working with neurodiverse young people.
6 hours week, (3 hours x each evening)
