Are you an experienced SENCO or an aspiring SEND leader looking for your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and supportive school in Northamptonshire, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping high-quality SEN provision and making a meaningful impact every day.
The Role
As SENCO, you'll lead on the strategic development of SEND across the school. Working closely with staff, families and external agencies, you will ensure that pupils receive the support, guidance and inclusive opportunities they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the identification of SEND needs and coordinate effective interventions.
- Monitor and review the impact of support strategies and adjust where needed.
- Support staff with inclusive teaching approaches and curriculum adaptation.
- Build strong relationships with parents, colleagues and outside professionals.
- Manage assessment, reporting and progress tracking for pupils with SEND.
- Contribute to whole-school development and ongoing improvement planning.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND.
- NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- A proactive, compassionate and collaborative approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence in leading and influencing inclusive practice across the school.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
