Are you looking for a varied and rewarding role where you can lead a service that makes a real difference to the lives of older people by helping them stay warm, safe and independent in their homes.

If so, we are looking to recruit a Service Manager to lead the delivery of a new countywide Energy Advice Service.

As our Energy Advice Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape and lead the delivery of our new countywide service funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme, supporting vulnerable households across Lancashire by providing energy advice, practical support and energy-saving measures that reduce fuel poverty and improve wellbeing.

As a Service Manager you will:

*Lead the development and delivery of a new, countywide energy advice service that helps frail older people reduce energy costs and stay warm, safe and independent at home.
*Combining operational management, team leadership and quality assurance, you will oversee homebased energy support, coordinating referrals with health, social care and community partners, and ensuring vulnerable households receive timely, solutions focused advice that improves wellbeing and prevents crisis.
*Manage and support a small team and ensure that the advice delivered is tailored to meet the needs of clients and creates practical energy saving measures to help reduce household energy costs.
*Manage the project budget and monitor performance against service targets.

To be successful in this role you will:

*Have knowledge of fuel poverty and the energy market, with experience in delivering energy advice.
*Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
*Have experience managing services and staff, including performance management.
*Be able to demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
*Possess strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and targets.
*Be able to provide a person-centred, flexible and responsive service.
*Be confident using IT systems including CRM databases and Microsoft applications.
*Understand safeguarding, risk management and health and safety procedures.
*Hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for business purposes. This is a Lancashire wide role where you will make community visits, attend partnership meetings and spend time at our offices working with Age UK Lancashire colleagues and your team.

Age UK Lancashire delivers services to over 12,000 older people each year, helping them maintain independence and enjoy choice and control over their lives. This is a hugely rewarding role for the right person. If you are passionate about improving the wellbeing of older people and want to lead a service that helps vulnerable households stay warm, safe and independent, we would love to hear from you.

We know you will understand why we want to make sure we recruit the right person with the right key requirements; skills, experience, attributes, and abilities to join our team, so it is important that you tell us about it on your application form.

Benefits include:

*Full training and comprehensive induction to ensure you have the support you need to succeed and thrive in your new role
*A friendly and inclusive culture
25 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing to 30 with length of service
*Workplace pension scheme
*Access to Employee Assistance Programme
*Staff discount card for hundreds of High Street shops and online services.
*Blue Light card eligibility
*Travel expenses will be paid for all journeys required for work, excluding travel from home to base.
