Chichester College, part of the Chichester College Group College Community Support Officer [Ref: CC3309] - Fixed Term until 19 June 2026 Pro rata of £27,785 to £30,364 per annum (i.e. £18,715.88 - £20,453.08) 30 hours per week, 36 weeks per year Are you a charismatic, determined and confident person who has the ability and skills to engage hard to reach groups and disengaged students as well as to develop and co-ordinate activities that promote social cohesion and integration? As our College Community Support Officer, you will provide the first response to incidents across the College site, assist Managers or appropriate College staff to adopt a collaborative problem-solving approach to highlighted issues and to implement de-escalation techniques and restorative justice. It is essential that you hold GCSE maths and English Language, or equivalent, at grade 4/C or above as well as have a Level 3 qualification in relevant subject area, e.g. Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work. Experience of working with young people (including 14-19-year-olds) and vulnerable adults and those with challenging behaviour is also essential, along with knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults including Prevent and the Equality Act 2010.
