We are currently recruiting for a Job Aide Support Worker to join our Adult Social Care and Education Team to support one of our Senior Education Lawyers within our Joint Legal Team.

The role involves regular on‑site attendance at the Civic Offices in Reading. Weekly working hours may fluctuate in line with the requirements of the Senior Education Lawyer you will be supporting. All working hours will be scheduled between Monday and Thursday.

About the role:
As a Job Aide Support Worker, you will be supporting a Senior Education Lawyer who is part of a dynamic team that relies on each individual to play their part to the best of their ability.

Duties will include:

To provide the Senior Education Lawyer with high quality administrative support.
To schedule appointments; coordinating/making arrangements for virtual meetings with clients, other parties and lawyer, and booking rooms for the lawyer to use in the office.
To attend remote Tribunal hearings and take detailed notes.
To assist with formatting, organising and filing digital documents (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and PDFs) onto SharePoint and the case management database.
To separate/extract and collate pages in PDFs as required, for example, where several documents are combined into one PDF.
Where required, to assist in collating documents in readiness for the bundle preparation by a paralegal.
To input basic data onto standard forms as instructed by Lawyer.
Where required, to make travel arrangements.
Where required, to check payment of invoices and any other disbursements on files.
Where required, to liaise with barristers’ clerks regarding invoices and purchase order numbers.
Where required, to liaise with barristers’ clerks regarding availability of counsel and fee estimates.
To be flexible around demands of the service, for example, attending a half or full day hearing to take notes and on other days undertaking administrative tasks.
To add text as drafted by Lawyer to workflows in the case management system.
