Contract Manager - Food Production

Pladis Harlesden, Waxlow Road, Harlesden, NW10 7NY

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Cleaning & Hygiene contract Manager to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene across our site.

In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager and managing a team of around 30 colleagues. You will play a key role in ensuring all cleaning activities are carried out effectively while supporting your team and maintaining high standards across the operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining hygienic environments within a food production setting.

What you will be doing….

You will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and work areas are cleaned and maintained to strict food hygiene standards. Your experience and knowledge will help ensure machines are cleaned safely and correctly, supporting efficient production while meeting company and industry regulations.

-Leading and supporting a team of cleaning colleagues

-Demonstrating and monitoring the correct methods for dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling machines

-Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all production areas

-Ensuring the safe and correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

-Supporting the Operations Manager in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient operations

-Reporting any machinery issues, hygiene concerns, or safety risks

-Ensuring all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures are followed



What We Are Looking For….

-Proven experience cleaning machinery and production equipment, ideally within a food manufacturing or food preparation environment

-A strong understanding of food hygiene and sanitation standards

-Experience leading or supervising a team

-Knowledge of safe chemical use and cleaning procedures

-Strong organisation and time management skills

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

-A strong customer and quality focused approach
