Job Title: Hotel Housekeeper
Job Summary:
Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across guest rooms and public areas. The successful candidate will ensure a comfortable, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and service guest rooms to the highest standard, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms
• Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens
• Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and staff areas
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost property to the appropriate department
• Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used and stored correctly
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally where required
• Work efficiently to meet daily cleaning targets and timeframes
Working Hours:
• 30–40 hours per week
• Shifts will vary and may include weekends and public holidays
Requirements:
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Flexible availability to work a range of shifts
Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and products
• Customer service experience in a hospitality environment
