Location: Twycross Zoo, Atherstone
Contract Type: Part-Time, 24 hours per week, Permanent
Working Hours: 5 days over 7 between 8:00am–6:00pm

About the Role:

We’re looking for reliable Kitchen Assistants to join our catering team at Twycross Zoo. Working across our busy catering units, you will support the kitchen team with basic food preparation and help maintain clean and organised kitchen sections to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with basic food preparation, including sandwiches and salads

  • Preparing ingredients to support the kitchen team during service

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of your work section

  • Following food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures

  • Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure efficient service

  • Assisting with general kitchen cleaning duties as required


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Basic experience in food preparation or working in a kitchen environment

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Flexibility to work shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm across a 7-day operation
