Location: Twycross Zoo, Atherstone
Contract Type: Part-Time, 24 hours per week, Permanent
Working Hours: 5 days over 7 between 8:00am–9:00pm

About the Role:

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at Twycross Zoo. Working across our busy catering units, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen team and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in a fast-paced environment.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment

  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen areas

  • Supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly

  • Assisting with general kitchen cleaning duties and organisation

  • Helping manage waste disposal and recycling in line with site procedures

  • Supporting the overall kitchen function during busy service periods


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen environment

  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team

  • Flexibility to work shifts between 8:00am and 9:00pm across a 7-day operation
