We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Controller vacancy on behalf of our reputable client, a well-established automotive dealership group in Chester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional seeking to advance their career within a leading main dealer environment. Duties as a Workshop Controller:
- You will oversee daily workshop operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
- You will lead and motivate a team of service technicians and workshop staff
- This role requires close collaboration with service managers to deliver outstanding customer experiences and high-quality service standards
- The Workshop Controller will be responsible for achieving departmental profit targets and maintaining workshop retention levels
- Planning and coordinating workshop activities to meet deadlines and uphold customer satisfaction are key duties
- You must ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and dealership policies
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience in workshop management or control within the motor trade, ideally within a main dealer setting
- You shall be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- A strong industry knowledge and understanding of workshop operational processes are required
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop a team are crucial
- Should be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to develop within a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Candidates with experience as senior technicians looking to progress into a Workshop Controller position are encouraged to apply
