Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.I am looking for a calm, reliable and supportive Personal Assistant to help me manage my day-to-day life. I am a male in my mid‑forties with autism and epilepsy, and I benefit from routine, patience and consistency. At times I can display challenging behaviour, so I need someone confident, resilient and able to provide reassurance.Your support will help me feel safe, supported and able to enjoy my everyday activities both at home and in the community.I enjoy visiting a local leisure venue to play on the arcade machines, taking trips into Norwich to browse DVDs, and watching films at home. With gentle encouragement, I sometimes take part in meal preparation and household activities.Location: Costessey, NR5Your role will be to:
- Supporting me to access the community
- Helping me stay safe and manage situations when out and about
- Using public transport together, including bus journeys into Norwich
- Meal preparation (midday and evening) and light household tasks
- Issuing my medication and maintaining accurate records
- Managing my daily cash allowance
- Providing up to 30 hours of holiday cover for my regular PA
