What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an outstanding, experienced class teacher to work in lower KS2. Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
• A creative and innovative approach to curriculum planning and delivery.
• Evidence of high-quality effective teaching.
• Knowledge and experience of a range of planning, assessment and record keeping strategies.
• A positive approach to the management of behaviour.
• Ability to inspire and motivate children to achieve beyond what they think possible.
• High expectations of themselves and their pupils.
• Willingness to promote the school ethos and become fully involved in the life of our school.
• Strong interpersonal skills that support effective teamwork with colleagues, governors and parents.
• Good knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice including adaptive teaching to support progress for all.
• Self–motivated and ambitious for the children being taught.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
It would be advantageous if applicants had the following:
• Teaching experience in KS2.
• Subject leadership experience.
• Experience in effective planning for children with special educational needs.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
