What skills and experience we're looking for
The opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an inspiring and engaging Teacher of Music (including KS4). The post will include teaching a small amount of KS3 Drama. This is a full time permanent position starting September 2026.
The qualities we are looking for are:
• An ability to work with the Head of Music and other colleagues to develop excellent music teaching across Key stages;
• The ability to support the Creative Arts team with joint school productions for example rehearse and assist in the directing of bands, choirs and orchestras and provide pupil accompaniments for services and concerts;
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and a good understanding of the development of the musical skills children need to become high achievers in KS3 and KS4;
• A good sense of humour and willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
The successful candidate should be lively and fun and comfortable using a range of teaching and learning styles and confident in the use of AFL and ICT as a teaching tool.
