We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college in Rochdale for an experienced and dedicated SEN Tutor to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to achieve their individual learning goals and progress within education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to learners with SEN within a further education setting

Support students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and SEMH

Differentiate teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities

Monitor and track learner progress, adapting delivery to support achievement

Work collaboratively with support staff, LSAs, and the wider SEN team

Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

Experience teaching or tutoring learners with SEN, ideally within further education or post-16 settings
Experience teaching or tutoring learners with SEN, ideally within further education or post-16 settings

A recognised teaching qualification ( PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent)

Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practices

Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
