Planning Enforcement Officer (Hybrid) needed in Newton Abbot, £34ph PAYE - Reference: 5292947

Candidate needs access to own vehicle and available at least 2 days per week locally
On those days they will be required to attend the office and visit sites. Admin can be done remotely once trained.

(a) Investigating and reporting on complaints relating to planning and development issues, in conjunction with the Business Manager Strategic Place / Principal Planning Officer / Senior Planning Enforcement Officer and others across the Client.
(b) Carrying out site inspections and completing detailed investigations of planning records and site histories. Monitoring compliance with planning conditions and approved plans, including updating records of complaints and appropriate action taken on the databases. Taking statements in accordance with PACE requirements
(c) Preparing reports to Committee and attending as and when required by the Business Manager Strategic Place / Principal Planning Officer / Senior Planning Enforcement Officer.
(d) Preparing statements and compiling evidence for enforcement appeals.
(e) Providing planning advice to the general public and responding to a wide range of enquiries on planning and enforcement matters and providing assistance and advice to colleagues, as required by the Business Manager Strategic Place / Principal Planning Officer / Senior Planning Enforcement Officer.
(f) Maintaining and enhancing close liaison on enforcement and related issues with members of the public, Parish / Town, elected Members, other departments, other authorities and outside bodies.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
