Location: Crewe
Pay Rates:
- Standard: £12.21 per hour (rising to £12.33 after 12 weeks)
- Nights: £12.51 per hour (rising to £13.21 after 12 weeks)
Join our growing team as a Warehouse Operative/Parcel Sorter in Crewe. If you are reliable, hard-working, and enjoy variety in your work, we want to hear from you.
Role Overview:
- Accurately scan and sort parcels according to destination
- Build crates, palletise parcels, and ensure items are securely prepared for dispatch
- Support the safe, efficient operation of the warehouse as part of a collaborative team
- Utilise strong attention to detail and follow written instructions to achieve high standards
- Flexible shift patterns available, with variable start and finish times dependent on workload and parcel volumes
Key Requirements:
- Able to communicate confidently in both spoken and written English
- Capable of understanding and following scanning, labelling, and sorting instructions
- Physically fit to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to working Sundays (our busiest day), with flexibility across all 7 days
- Reliable and punctual, with a positive approach to teamwork
Shift Patterns:
- Inbound: Start times between 11am - 2pm
- Twilight: Start times between 2pm - 5pm
- Nights: Start times between 8pm - midnight
- Days: Ad hoc, usually from 9am
- Shifts typically last 5-9 hours; longer hours may be required during peak periods.
- Due to the nature of the operation, start and finish times cannot be guaranteed in advance and will vary according to workload, so a flexible approach to working hours is required.
