YARD FORKLIFT DRIVER / OPERATOR
We are looking for a reliable, experienced Yard Forklift Driver / Operator to join a busy yard and production team. The ideal candidate is confident on a counterbalance truck, able to load and unload lorries quickly and safely, and willing to help with general yard and production tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets and goods around the yard
- Fast, accurate loading and unloading of lorries and trailers
- Build, break down and repair pallets
- Bagging and packing production items as required
- Picking porcelain and other fragile orders with care and attention to detail
- Manual handling of stock-lifting and moving items regularly
- Perform basic daily checks on equipment and maintain a tidy, safe working area
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks across the yard/warehouse as needed
What we're looking for
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a yard/warehouse environment
- Ability to load lorries quickly while maintaining safe working practices
- Comfortable with physical work and regular lifting
- Careful, methodical approach when picking fragile items such as porcelain
- Good teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude
- Basic numeracy and the ability to follow order paperwork
Details
- Full-time temporary position; daytime hours with overtime - Overtime paid at time and half over 40 hours
- Working Hours Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm
