Grade 4 (pt 7 – 10) Actual Salary £8006.17 - £8533.49 pay award pending
We are seeking applications from experienced SEND Teaching Assistants who have experience of working with children with ASD, language and communication difficulties and significant SEMH needs. The successful candidate will have proven experience within a school/classroom setting and ideally have experience of successfully delivering at least one type of intervention programme.
Applicants will be required to work 13 hours per week over 2 days (Monday and Tuesday), term time plus 5 days INSET (39 weeks per year): Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 3.45pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with and support Key Stage 1/2 children within our School
The successful candidate must: • Have previous SEND teaching assistant experience. • Be able and willing to undertake appropriate training. • Have good communication and interpersonal/listening skills. • Have proven experience/involvement of SEND strategies. • Be able to support and maintain records of SEND provision. • Meet the well-being, personal care and hygiene needs of our children. • Understand that behaviour is a form of communication. • Put the child at the centre of their thinking.
The successful candidate may: • Have experience of working within a special school or SEND specialist setting • Have experience of supporting children with communication and interaction difficulties and ASD. • Have had training in Trauma Informed Practice.
