We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to support our dedicated Governing Body.Reigate Priory School would like to recruit a new Clerk to Governors to provide an efficient and professional clerking service to the Governing Body. This will include providing both procedural advice in carrying out its statutory obligations and administrative support in fulfilling its strategic functions.
The position will report directly to the Chair of Governors for the management of all meetings, the procedures for the appointment of new governors and initiating the non-routine correspondence on behalf of the Governing Body.
We are looking for an organised person with excellent interpersonal and literacy skills with a flexible approach to working hours, as these can vary from week to week. There is a requirement to minute all Governor Committee Meetings, approximately 6 per term and the FGB meetings. The role is based on 7 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year, with some evening meetings scheduled in advance throughout the academic year, normally from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
The successful applicant will be expected to work predominantly from home and have access to a computer and the internet. They should also be able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Salary is within Surrey Pay PS7 (£33,552 - £35,763 FTE), pro rata £5,612 - £5,982.
