Working Hours: 07:30 - 17:30
Rate: £32 per hour
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Operative (Groundworker) to support works on a National Grid substation project at Upper Boat. This role is suited to candidates with proven experience working within high-voltage environments and delivering groundworks on infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general groundworks on a live substation site
- Operate a 360 excavator (up to 10T) including lifting operations
- Work in line with site safety procedures and National Grid requirements
- Support the delivery of civil works within programme and quality standards
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment at all times
Essential Requirements:
- National Grid Competent Person / NSI 8 (Full authorisation)
- CPCS or NPORS certification for 360 Excavator (up to 10T with lifting operations)
- Previous experience on National Grid or similar HV substation projects
- Full PPE prior to attending site
Additional Information:
- This role is classified as inside IR35; payment via limited company is not permitted
- Candidates must meet all essential criteria to be considered
