Care Assistants – Established Domiciliary Care Provider (Shrewsbury)

Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am–9pm (1-hour break), 5-day working week
Weekends: 1 in 2
Salary: £12.00 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Location: Rural Shrewsbury (SY5)
Mileage: 40p per mile
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established domiciliary care provider based in rural Shrewsbury (SY5). With a stable client base of 88 service users, they are seeking warm, confident and committed Care Assistants to join their growing team.
This role involves supporting individuals in their own homes across rural areas, promoting independence, dignity and safety at all times.
Candidates with 2 years’ experience in care are preferred. However, the service is also open to applicants who are keen, committed and genuinely motivated to start a long-term career in care.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing person‑centred care in service users’ homes
Supporting with personal care
Meal preparation and light domestic tasks
Medication prompting
Companionship
Ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date record keeping
Supporting individuals to remain safe and independent in their community
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Must live in, or close to, the SY5 postcode
Full UK driving licence
Access to your own vehicle
Comfortable driving in rural locations
Reliable, confident, and able to communicate well
A naturally bubbly, caring and positive personality
Ideally 2 years’ experience in care (preferred but not essential for the right applicant)
