Job description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
The Marketing and Commercial Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and commercial initiatives to promote the pharmacy’s healthcare services, including dispensing services, aesthetics treatments, IV therapy, and private healthcare offerings.
The role will focus on increasing patient engagement, expanding service uptake, developing partnerships, and ensuring the organisation’s services remain competitive and commercially sustainable.
Strategic Marketing
· Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote pharmacy services, aesthetics treatments, IV therapy, and related healthcare services.
· Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and patient demand to identify opportunities for service growth.
· Develop targeted marketing campaigns to increase awareness of private clinical services.
Commercial Development
· Identify opportunities to expand revenue streams through new healthcare services and partnerships.
· Develop commercial strategies to increase patient uptake of private treatments including aesthetic procedures and IV therapy.
· Support the introduction and promotion of new pharmacy services, wellness programmes, and clinical treatments.
Digital and Brand Marketing
· Manage the organisation’s digital presence including website content, online booking systems, and social media channels.
· Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, patient communications, and promotional activities.
· Oversee digital advertising campaigns and patient engagement initiatives.
Patient Engagement and Community Outreach
· Develop community outreach initiatives to promote preventative healthcare services and wellness treatments.
· Build relationships with local healthcare providers, businesses, and community organisations.
· Promote patient education campaigns related to health, skincare, and wellness.
Performance Monitoring
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using data analytics and performance metrics.
· Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, patient engagement, and revenue growth.
· Adjust marketing strategies based on campaign performance and market feedback.
Compliance and Ethics
· Ensure all marketing activity complies with healthcare advertising regulations and professional standards.
· Ensure promotional activities for pharmacy, aesthetics, and IV therapy services comply with relevant regulatory guidelines.
Team Collaboration
· Work closely with pharmacists, clinicians, and management to align marketing initiatives with clinical services.
· Coordinate marketing activities with operational and administrative staff.
Person specification (Skill, Qualification, Experience):
· A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Management or a related discipline, such as B.Com (Hons); or
· A postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or a related field, such as an MBA.
· Experience in marketing, business development, commercial strategy, or related business functions; or
· For new entrants to the profession, a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification (such as MBA or B.Com) demonstrating knowledge of marketing, business strategy, and commercial operations.
· Ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic actions.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Strong organisational and project management abilities.
· Innovative and proactive approach to business development
· High level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
· Ability to work independently and contribute to strategic initiatives.
