We have an incredible new opportunity for a Work Experience & Admin Officer to join Landau. As a Work Experience & Admin Officer, you will support the organisation and coordination of work placements for students, ensuring they align with individual needs, abilities, and career aspirations.
The role involves a range of administrative duties, including maintaining accurate student records, communicating with employers, students and staff, and ensuring all documentation is completed and kept up to date. You will also support the smooth running of the centre by assisting with general administration, events, and day-to-day operations. Additionally, the postholder will provide cover for classroom support and reception duties when required, contributing to an efficient and supportive environment across the department.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Organise and support student work placements aligned to individual needs and goals.
• Liaise with employers and support the Careers and Engagement Coordinator to secure placements.
• Support risk assessments and ensure placements meet health and safety requirements.
• Monitor student progress and maintain regular contact with students and employers.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout placements.
• Maintain accurate records, including placement details, reviews and outcomes.
• Support communication between students, employers and staff.
• Ensure all paperwork and systems are accurate and up to date.
• Provide general administrative support, including events and activities.
• Support centre operations through efficient admin processes.
• Assist with supplies, orders, suppliers and transport coordination.
• Maintain a professional front of house presence.
• Provide reception cover, including calls, mail and enquiries.
• Welcome and sign in visitors in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Provide classroom support when required.
• Support health and safety procedures and compliance.
• Ensure cover during periods of leave or absence.

SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Technical competency (qualifications and training certificates/licenses)
• GCSE’s to include English and Maths (E)
• Knowledge of data management systems (E)
• Familiarity with work experience or placement management tools (D)
Experience
• Experience in coordinating work placements particularly for students (E)
• Proven administrative experience, including maintaining records, handling communications, and preparing reports (D)
• Experience in providing classroom support or working with diverse student groups (D)
• Reception or front of house experience, handling visitor and student inquiries (D)
• Experience with database management, scheduling, and organising events or activities (D)

Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £22,932 (£23,914.80 FTE) per annum
Location: Telford
This is a fixed term maternity cover position for 12 months. There is also the opportunity to do this as a potential job share which can be discussed further at interview
