Maintaining Futures

We’re looking for a practical, safety‑focused Depot Yard & Stores Person to help keep our depot yard and stores area safe, compliant and running smoothly. Are you ready to join us in delivering our vision of “Providing quality homes and services for better futures”?

This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a vital part in making sure our depot environment supports our operatives to do their jobs safely and efficiently, from managing deliveries and waste, to maintaining roadways, equipment and compliance standards.

If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in a well‑organised environment, and care about doing things properly, this could be a great fit for you.

You’ll also need that full UK licence of yours and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

A few key points from our role profile:

Maintain a safe, clean and compliant depot yard and stores area, supporting operatives to work efficiently
Receive, record and safely store deliveries, coordinating waste collections across all waste streams
Carry out health & safety and compliance checks, including legionella testing, fire alarms, emergency lighting and PAT testing
Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment and specialist plant, including forklifts and tractors
Monitor stock, equipment and consumables, reordering where needed and supporting vehicle and ladder safety checks
Sounds like me, so what are you offering?

If you’re successful, you’ll be joining a dynamic organisation with an amazing culture. We offer competitive benefits that include private healthcare options, discount schemes and with a big emphasis on health and well-being. You’ll have great opportunities to grow and develop, personally and professionally, but the greatest reward will be knowing you’re helping people and communities across our region to thrive.

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon - Thurs 8:00am till 4:00pm, Fri 8:00am till 3:30pm with 30 minutes break for lunch break, paid monthly. You'll also get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and concessionary days holiday at Christmas.

We’re proud to be Investor in People Platinum award – the highest of IiP accreditation. The award recognises organisations which are passionate about making sure all employees get the best experience at work.

To begin your Futures journey, take a look at our role profile and please note we may contact candidates or close the vacancy prior to the closing date.
