Location: 5 days a week in Farringdon
Construction industry experience needed
KEY TASK RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with relevant departments to drive sustainable commitments into systems, exploring opportunities for improvements, targets and objectives.
- Present sustainability strategies to new starters at the regular regional induction days.
- Net zero commitments such as the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI) and associated tools and technologies, including carbon foot-printing, energy management and renewable technologies.
- Write bid responses and provide support to bid teams when required both directly and by establishing and maintaining a verified answer database which can be readily accessed.
- Provide evidence and understand how to extract the best outcomes using social value platforms such as Social Value Portal, TOMs, Social Value Bank etc.
- Visit sites to continuously update and improve understanding and implementation of sustainability goals and environmental management practices.
- Write and issue regular Sustainability focused briefings such as toolbox talks and best practice bulletins.
- Dedicate time to managing waste and utilities, to achieve the clients targets through reduction strategies.
- Produce a monthly report on current progress and highlighting any relevant issues.
- Conduct monthly environmental site audits and provide support in achieving targets.
- Meet with site teams and subcontractors to implement environmental expectations.
- Submit evidence of environmental stats/targets to Tamworth for submission in the Responsible Business Report.
- Produce a regional annual report summarising the previous performance and set out objective and targets for coming year.
- Arrange, prepare and present relevant information at each meeting and maintain records.
- Monitor LIMS system for compliance with ISO14001 standards, update accordingly.
- Update and upload Project+ with environmental information and documents.
- Collect relevant site-specific data for external submission such as BREEAM and NRMM assessments.
- Collate and input social value information to relevant portals/systems such as Social Value Bank, LM3, TOMs etc.
- Produce and present social value impact reports to senior management.
- Attend monthly and quarterly S106 meetings with live sites.
- Organise and attend social value events, contributing to client commitments.
- Develop monitoring tools such as timber logs to verify sustainable credentials and training site team champions.
- Focus on resource efficiency, work closely with procurement to strategize more sustainable buying practices and reduction techniques.
- Review previous CCS reports and create site specific action plans.
- Write and update CCS portal submissions and maintain excellent scores throughout the region.
- Provide service support for colleagues and workforce in line with company values and initiatives.
