Description: Experienced Landscape operative
Job Purpose: Landscape operative to work in a team of landscapers carrying out soft and hard landscape works throughout North-West England.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Landscape construction – hard and soft landscape
• Labouring work for hard landscape construction
• Soft landscaping construction work including – planting of trees, shrubs, beds and borders; seeding, turfing, practical gardening tasks, pest and disease control, weed control.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach
• Compliance with statutory regulations including H & S regulations
• Communicate with key client staff and external contractors where necessary
• Foster client relationships and develop a culture of trust and respect
• Use own initiative to satisfy client contracted needs
• Attempt to solve problems in a safe manner and escalate any necessary issue to the Line Manager
Skills/Qualifications:
• Communication skills dealing with colleagues and customers
• Previous experience desired in both hard and soft landscaping
• Willingness to learn
• Customer Focus
• Health and Safety knowledge essential and qualifications an advantage
• Full clean driving licence essential
• Other Information:
• 41.25 hours per week
• Salary negotiable depending on experience
• Site is in countryside outside Alderley Edge and not easily accessible using public transport.
