Hours: 40 per week | Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £46,500.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Instructor/Teacher to deliver high‑quality teaching and engaging practical learning across multiple key stages. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in raising standards of learning, supporting pupils’ progress, and contributing to a dynamic, inclusive curriculum. This role requires a strong understanding of health and safety within workshop environments, a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs (including SEND and SEMH), and a passion for helping young people develop both technical and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality Design & Technology teaching across Key Stages 1–4.
Plan and teach engaging practical and theory-based lessons in areas such as product design, resistant materials, carpentry, graphics, engineering principles and related disciplines.
Use resources effectively to support high standards of learning and achievement.
Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
Undertake additional curriculum responsibilities as agreed with the Assistant Headteacher and Curriculum Lead.
Act as a form tutor and positive role model, supporting students’ academic, social, and personal development.
Support whole-school literacy, numeracy and life skills initiatives.
Contribute to the development and delivery of high‑quality SEND provision.
Work closely with parents, external agencies, and young people with SEND, including those with SEMH needs, to promote effective inclusion.
