You’ll develop the skills needed to install, service and maintain central heating systems while building a long-term career within a growing industry.

The Role

As a Gas Engineer Apprentice , you will support qualified engineers with the servicing, maintenance and installation of gas heating systems across domestic properties.

Working within our experienced teams, you’ll gain real-world experience while developing the knowledge and technical skills needed to become a fully qualified gas engineer.

Your apprenticeship will combine practical on-the-job training with college-based learning, with at least 20% of your time spent in a training environment as part of your qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with gas servicing and maintenance
• Support installation of boilers and heating systems
• Learn to diagnose and repair faults
• Follow strict safety and compliance procedures
• Develop strong customer service skills when working in occupied homes
• Work collaboratively with engineers and other trades

You should:

• Be motivated and driven to succeed
• Have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work
• Be able to work well as part of a team
• Demonstrate good communication and organisation skills

Academic Requirements

• Minimum of 3 National 5s (or equivalent) including Maths, English and preferably a Science subject.
