HIAB Driver

We are currently looking for a HIAB Driver to join Sovini Trade Supplies, part of The Sovini Group.

This position is a permanent opportunity

As a HIAB Driver you will be expected to:

• Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of building material to Sovini Trade Supplies customers using a HIAB delivery wagon (Class 2). Occasionally, assisting with warehouse and yard duties as and when required. Whilst always maintaining quality and safety standards, you will be expected to be flexible and multi-skilled. A class 2 license, valid CPC license and HIAB qualification are required for the role. The role is primarily based in our Bootle branch, however, you will occasionally be required to be located within our Speke depot to provide holiday or relief cover, as and when required.

• Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a HIAB Driver role, the skills you will need:
• Valid HIAB licence.
• Class 2 license and valid CPC qualification.
• Experience of driving Class 2 HIAB wagons and performing multidrop deliveries.
• Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to logistics and warehouse operations.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
• Self-motivated with enthusiasm, commitment and drive and ability to work under pressure and still produce a high standard of work.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:

• Counterbalance forklift truck license.
• Experience of working within a builder’s merchant environment.
