Up to £60,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Looking for a role where you can thrive clinically, feel genuinely supported, and still have a life outside of work?

An established, forward-thinking small animal practice in Nuneaton is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to its friendly and ambitious team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a practice that truly invests in its people, its facilities, and the quality of care it delivers.

Why This Role Stands Out

✔ No out-of-hours or Sundays – protect your work-life balance
✔ 20-minute consults with admin time built in – work at a sustainable pace
✔ Varied and busy caseload – keep your clinical work interesting and rewarding
✔ Support to develop your interests – whether surgical or consult-led
✔ Collaborative team with strong leadership – you’re never on your own

The Practice

This is a large, purpose-built, and superbly equipped practice designed to enable high clinical standards and a smooth working day. Facilities include:

• Separate dog and cat wards
• Spacious operating theatre with laparoscopic equipment
• Dedicated X-ray room
• Fully equipped dental suite with dental X-ray
• Ongoing investment in equipment and clinical development

You’ll be working alongside 5 experienced vets, including a supportive and knowledgeable Head Vet, within a wider local network of practices. Across the group, there is a wealth of expertise and multiple certificate holders, giving you access to excellent collaboration and case support.

Importantly, you’ll have the freedom to follow your cases through, allowing for real clinical satisfaction and continuity of care.

The Role

This is a busy first-opinion role with a genuinely varied caseload, making it ideal for a vet who enjoys diversity in their day and wants to keep developing their skills.

• 4-day week with a fixed day off
• 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am – 5:00pm) with time off in lieu – enjoy a long weekend every month
• No OOH or Sunday work
• Full-time and part-time options available

Whether you have a specific clinical interest or are still exploring your passions, you’ll be supported to shape the role around you.

Team & Culture

The team prides itself on being welcoming, collaborative, and progressive. Everyone works together to deliver the best outcomes for patients.

You can expect:

• A culture that actively supports learning and development
• Leadership that is approachable and invested in your growth
• Encouragement to pursue certificates and clinical interests
• A team that genuinely enjoys working together

What’s on Offer

• Salary up to £60,000 DOE
• Generous CPD allowance and support
• 5 weeks’ holiday + bank holidays (with buy/sell options)
• Enhanced family leave
• Extra annual leave with service
• Bonus scheme
• Pension and staff discounts
• RCVS & VDS fees paid
• Flexible benefits (gym membership, cycle to work, and more)

This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to join a practice where you can develop your career, enjoy your work, and feel part of a genuinely supportive team.

If you’re looking for a role that offers clinical freedom, flexibility, and a positive working environment, this could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
