Job Title: Behaviour Mentor (Secondary School) - Supply Basis

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in the BD13 area on a supply basis. The successful candidate will support students both within the onsite provision and the mainstream school environment, helping pupils overcome behavioural barriers to learning and successfully engage with education.

This role involves delivering targeted interventions, supporting students in lessons, and working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote positive behaviour and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support for students who require additional guidance
- Support pupils within the onsite provision and during reintegration into mainstream classrooms
- Assist teaching staff in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Deliver targeted behavioural and emotional regulation interventions
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress
- Support pupils in developing self-regulation, social skills, and positive behaviour strategies
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to relevant staff members
- Work collaboratively with the SEN, pastoral, and safeguarding teams

Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, or within an alternative provision
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or Support Worker is desirable
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students who may be disengaged from learning
- Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different classroom environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Has the right to work in the UK
