Main Purpose
Teacher of Science to teach a Science curriculum that promotes literacy, creativity, and academic progress for all students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The role involves delivering engaging lessons that support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive setting where small class sizes support learning and progress.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective Science lessons and a well-structured curriculum suited to students' needs.
Monitor and assess progress, using data to inform teaching and targeted support.
Create a safe, inclusive classroom using trauma-informed approaches.
Work with pastoral teams to address barriers to learning, and support students' wellbeing.
Person Specification
QTS, QTLS or PGCE are required, along with strong subject knowledge.
Effective teaching, communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to support students with SEMH needs, and the ability to use assessment data to inform practice.
A commitment to safeguarding, professional development and inclusive education is essential.
Personal Qualities
