As a Teaching and Learning Assistant, you will be responsible for providing invaluable support to our teaching staff, ensuring that our students receive the individualised attention and resources they need to thrive. - Assisting teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons, including setting up resources and equipment
- Offering individualised support to students who require additional help, whether it be in the classroom or in a one-on-one setting
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers to help inform their instructional strategies
- Collaborating with the teaching staff to develop and implement engaging and effective learning activities
- Providing pastoral care and emotional support to students, helping them navigate the challenges of their academic and personal lives
- Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong educational background, preferably with experience working in a teaching or learning support capacity. A relevant qualification, such as a teaching assistant diploma or a degree in education, would be highly advantageous. Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of the educational landscape, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both students and colleagues.
