Functional Skills Tutor - Nottingham (NG9)

Are you passionate about helping learners build essential English and Maths skills for everyday life and future employment? We are looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in Nottingham (NG9), helping them gain confidence and achieve meaningful progress.

This rewarding role focuses on supporting learners who need additional help with Functional Skills English and/or Maths, helping them develop practical skills that will support their education, work, and independence.

✨ The Role
- Deliver tailored 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical learning sessions
- Support learners in developing real-life literacy and numeracy skills
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
- Track student progress and help them work towards Functional Skills qualifications

What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English and/or Maths
- Good understanding of Functional Skills curriculum and assessments
- Ability to create engaging and practical learning activities
- A patient, supportive, and motivating approach to learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
