What you'll do:
- Support the delivery of a high-quality cleaning service across the site, ensuring all areas are maintained to excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Provide cover where required, helping to ensure continuity of cleaning services during absences or busy periods.
- Respond quickly and effectively to urgent cleaning requests, including spillages, contamination incidents, and reactive tasks.
- Carry out routine and ad hoc cleaning duties, including replenishing consumables and maintaining a clean, safe environment throughout the day.
- Monitor cleanliness standards and take proactive action to address any issues, escalating where necessary.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including safe use of equipment, PPE, and cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH and risk assessments.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with schedules, service standards, and site expectations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and service teams to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently.
- Support sustainability initiatives by promoting recycling, reducing waste, and using resources responsibly.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors to support a smooth-running operation.
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities role is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and take appropriate action.
- Good communication skills and a professional, friendly manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Practical knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical use (COSHH awareness preferred).
- A reliable, flexible attitude with a willingness to support where needed.
