An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist Band 7 to join the Paediatric Psychosocial Service (PPS), part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust (MFT) CAMHS which sits within the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

This is a brilliant opportunity for dedicated mental healthcare professionals to promote and improve the mental health and well-being of children and young people with physical health conditions and those who care for them.

We provide inpatient and outpatient support to patients with a wide range of physical health conditions on a local, regional, national and international basis. Working for the Paediatric Psychosocial Service at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, you'll work with children and young people aged up to 18 years and their families who present with a wide range of complex emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with physical health conditions.

You'll be supported to manage a defined caseload and have the responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children and young people. Roles also include consultation and liaison with medical teams.

Applications will also be accepted from Band 7 Clinical Psychologists with experience of working therapeutically in a cancer context to consider a development role.

To contribute to the development, systematic provision and evaluation of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to patients within the North of England Epilepsy Surgery Service at RMCH and the NHS England Proton Beam Radiotherapy (PBT) Service at The Christie Hospital.

Your responsibilities:

· Providing evidence-based psychological assessment

· Helping to establishing and developing the clinical psychology service

· Contributing to MDT care planning and review

· Contributing to audit and research



To be successful in this role, you'll need:

· Accredited post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology

· Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) (or qualification pending)

· Post-qualification experience of working within the fields of paediatric, adolescent or adult health psychology
