Job Title: Boatyard Operative (Part Time – 30 hours per week)
Location: Royal Quays Marina, North Shields

An opportunity has arisen for a Boatyard Operative to join the team at boatfolk’s Royal Quays Marina in North Shields on a part time basis.

This is a hands-on operational role working within the marina boatyard, supporting vessel lifting, launching, towing and general yard activity. The successful candidate will join a practical, safety-focused team and play an important part in ensuring the boatyard operates safely and efficiently.

Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should be able to demonstrate:
• Experience in a practical, hands-on operational role
• A strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices
• Confidence working outdoors in all weather and undertaking physical tasks
• A full UK driving licence is essential
• Experience within a marina, boatyard or maritime environment is desirable
• Experience of boat handling, lifting operations or operating boatyard plant is desirable
• RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential
• Relevant plant or lifting equipment certification would be advantageous, although training will be provided where appropriate

Working Pattern
• Part time, 30 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
• Flexibility required to support operational needs, including weekend and Bank Holiday working.
