The Qualification Bar:
Qualified Tiers: A Level 2 or 3 in Childcare is essential.
Important Note: Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant qualifications are not recognized for these specific Early Years positions.
Unqualified Tier: Staff with other backgrounds are welcomed as Unqualified Assistants provided they have verifiable nursery experience.
The 2025 Standard: A Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate is required to meet statutory ratio guidelines. If you do not have one, you must be willing to attend training.
