This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a newly established Mental Health Residential Home, supporting children and young people with complex needs. The Residential Support Worker in this role will play a vital part in creating a nurturing environment that promotes recovery, resilience, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting, nurturing relationships that support the service user's wellbeing and independence
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people
Contribute to the daily running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment
Accurately document all relevant information and keep records up to date
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable children and young people
Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment at all times
Requirements:
Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe
Motivated by a desire to positively impact young people's lives and support their recovery journey
Good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people
Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays
Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
